Moon Jar - Mottled Spice

Originally weighing in at 7lbs, this beauty is the first official attempt that was made to throw a moon jar. This shape is known for being very demanding on the clay body, typically resulting in collapsing walls.

The exterior design is composed of various different techniques that can be used before the drying process has ended, which include carving, trimming, and chattering.
